01 Knotty Pine

This Bucks County, Pa., farmhouse kitchen was dark and gloomy before MINGARI Studios entered it. The cabinets were previously painted by a "faux finisher" who did them in burgundy and dark green. (The client hated the result but said it was "really inexpensive.") We decided to create a light knotty pine look and carry it to the crown molding and bay window as well.

What? You can't believe it's not really old raw knotty pine??

Now the cabinets look like recycled old barn boards and give this farmhouse kitchen a breath of fresh country air. And the beautiful granite countertops blend in so much better!
